Bah Hum Bug

No ... that is Bah Mug Rug...
The No Fuss Swappers theme for  Christmas was a mug rug sent with a Christmas mug and a treat. All wrapped in a fat quarter.

This is what I received from Susan and I love how she matched the mug rug to the mug!

The candy cane one is what I sent of to Jan

Thanks to the Tuesday Girls for another great swap

Our precious bundle

Levi Alan has made his much anticipated arrival into the world last Friday. He has since thrown his very proud Mummy and Daddy a few curveballs that none of us were prepared for.

He would be in trouble with his Nanna if he hadn't wormed his way into my heart in about 5 seconds!

Prayers and positive thoughts at this very emotionally draining time would be greatly appreciated.

Glenrose at Warwick

Last week was my third (sssh don't tell anyone) Warwick retreat for the year.

Just like the other two this one was jammed packed with good friends and great times!

I worked on a baby quilt top a new wallet some farm girl vintage blocks and some slightly secret sewing.

Susan spoilt us and made bacon and onion stuffed camembert wrapped in pastry ... yummo!

Before heading home on Thursday we stopped to look at Glengallen House ... a lovely old building.

Vintage Mickey

The brief was a nappy bag with lots of pockets ..
After very limited guidance on fabrics I picked one that I thought would be great for a bag and today I have finished.

Zip pocket on the back, patch pocketsvon the front and sude pockets with elastic as well as inside pockets - that should cover it!

I used In-R-Form to give it stability and even has an adjustable shoulder strap (we won't talk about how long it took to work that out!).

I also went back to a tutorial I found on pinterest for a recessed zipper at the top

Stuff a Tin

Our Friends in Stitching swap this time round was to fill a smallish tin with bits and pieces. I received from Roseanne and she did an amazing job with the tin and all the bits in it.  Even got ine of her handmade Razzle Dazzle pins!

I sent to Jo ... it was great fun filling the tin!

Lucy Goes Camping

Hubby and I found a new place to camp less than an hour from home so we decided to have another weekend away.

I took my Lucy Boston blocks with me.  Managed to get two stitched and another two prepped. Will get more prepped at home so I can grab them and go for next trip
